She was cited as Best Newcomer, Best International Pop or Rock Act, and Hit of the Year for <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://top40.about.com/od/singles/gr/pokerface.htm">"Poker Face."</a> Lady Gaga did not make an appearance to pick up her award. Among other winners were <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://top40.about.com/od/artistsdk/p/depechemode.htm">Depeche Mode</a> for Best International Pop or Rock Band and <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://top40.about.com/od/artistsls/p/robbiewilliams.htm">Robbie Williams</a> for Best International Pop Artist. <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://top40.about.com/od/artistsls/p/rihannap.htm">Rihanna</a> turned in a showstopping performance of "Rude Boy" with huge Transformer-like robots.
