American Idol Top 10 Girls - Siobhan Magnus Unleashes That

<p>For me, the first moment of true excitement in <i>American Idol's</i> season nine final 24 came last night. Siobhan Magnus decided to tackle a "big song" again singing Aretha Franklin's "Think." Her performance was notably loose and relaxed compared with some who came before. Then she uncorked that big note, finished it, and effortlessly completed the song. These are the moments that give chills when we wonder if we have just seen a new star in the making. Siobhan Magnus has shown she could potentially be just as showy of a vocalist as <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://top40.about.com/od/l/p/adamlambert.htm">Adam Lambert</a> last season, but she combines that talent with a warm humility that is refreshingly engaging.</p>
<p>There were other very good performances and notable improvement from Crystal Bowersox, Lacey Brown, and Katelyn Epperly. That two that I believe are most likely to be going home are Haeley Vaughn whose version of Miley Cyrus' <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://top40.about.com/od/singles/gr/mileycyrusclimb.htm">"The Climb"</a> was truly a mess and Katie Stevens who is likable but a lifeless version of "Put Your Records On" early in the show is likely to leave her forgotten by voting viewers.</p>
