Silvio Berlusconi's son, Pier Silvio, vice president of digital satellite network Mediaset, has criticised Italian state broadcaster Rai for paying €58 million for Champions League rights :<br>

"The public television broadcaster should not make such foolish deals. Doing so also damages us. Mediaset currently pay €30 million a season, and offered €35 million and that was pushing the deal to the very edge of its economics limits."
